Android apps can surely boost the working environment of Chromebook. In the year 2017, Google added support for Chromebook to access the apps from the play store. As a result, there has been a significant increase in the number of users that are using Chromebook now. I did go through the wide variety of apps available on the play store. Therefore now I present you with the list of apps that are quite important for any Chromebook user.
But before getting to the list of apps there are some things that need attention. For using the latest apps from Play Store you Chromebook should be running on the latest ChromeOS. The version number has to be 53 or above. To check the version number please go to Settings and then About ChromeOS. After updating your Chromebook, enable the option for Play Store from Settings ~>Google Play Store. Now we continue with our list.
Quik
Quik app is a video editing app from GoPro. GoPro is famous for its action cameras and the app is one the best when it comes to editing video for a Chromebook. Quik app gives you prebuilt 23 themes options to choose from. The user can edit an existing video or can make their own video from still images. The app can support as much as 75 different still images for a single video.

The video should also have sound and the Quik app gives you the option to easily add music to your videos. The app has the option to share videos on social websites. The cons of this app are that it can be buggy at times and has limited audio editing capabilities.
To-Do List for Chromebook
The To-Do List by TickTick is one of the best list keeping tools you can have on your Chromebook. However, Google provides an inbuilt app called Google Tasks for this very purpose. But the To-Do list has many improvements over Google Tasks. The to-do list gives the user the option of tagging a similar task and time management.

Usually, the feature known as Pomodoro helps the user to track the time for any task and also makes them create new tasks for daily reminders. Another advantage of using this app is that it syncs between different devices. The cons of using this app are some feature needs purchases and notification about the deadline would not work if the app is not open.

The major disadvantage is that it costs a lot and maximum face editing features are only available in the paid versions.
Firefox Focus
Firefox Focus is an adblocker browser that works very well in any device. The main advantage of using it is that it never sends your browsing data to trackers. Hence for ad-free and safe browsing, this browser is one of the best. The inbuilt chrome app works very well in Chromebook, but it sends your usage statistics to the trackers.

By doing so Google shows you ads from your preference list. Security is one of the main concerns while using browser and firefox provides you the best solution for this. Another advantage of using this app is page load time. This app can be buggy at times and also uses much more battery than usual browsers.

Aqua Mail for Chromebook
The inbuilt app that comes with Chromebook is more than sufficient. It does all the basic tasks needed by the user. But if you want something extra from your email app then Aqua Mail is one app that should be in your Chromebook. It has the ability to connect multiple email accounts from different sources into one. Aqua mail also provides cloud storage for its users for safe storage of important files.

It also has a robust security feature which makes it a useful app for email exchanges. Although some email providers look for POP and IMAP access, Aqua mail has the ability to configure that too. This app also authorizes OAUTH2 for some email providers. The cons of this app are it displays too many ads for its free version and sends a “sent with Aqua Mail” stamp signatures for emails.
Squid
If you want to take notes with your own handwriting on it and your Chromebook supports stylus then Squid is what you are looking for. The squid app allows you to take handwritten notes with the use of the stylus. This app has the option of using gestures with a stylus for easier document navigation. Squid app also allows its users to share the documents.

The documents shared never have a resolution problem as the app store the document in vector format. It provides many templates for users to choose from and edit them. You can also open and edit pdf files. Cons for this app includes the prices which are somewhat high, limitation to text formatting and does not support handwriting into normal text.

The inbuilt file manager of the Chromebook does a satisfactory job with file storage. Through from native file manager, you can access and manage the files stored on your device. But file managers like Astro gives you extra options to easily manage and organize them. This app helps you to quickly locate the file as it keeps the file in terms of category.

So if you want to open a video file just click on the video category and all your video files will be on the list. Through this can you can sort your files as you like and can even create the backups of the important files. Astro file manager also has a cloud manager for the safe storage of your important documents. The cons of using this app include accessing your usage data.
