Talking about the phone on the display level, everything inside the phone is pretty amazing. While comparing the phone to its price to performance ratio the phone stands still, the device is slightly heavy but it is manageable. The display is quite bright as it hosts full HD Super AMOLED display, with a brightness of 1000 nits. The colour gamut panel is 100% DCI-P3 which helps to generate better RGB colour for the phone. Under the screen, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor that is quite fast and responsive.
The 6.5-inch phone is filled with incredible colours and it looks even crisper when it runs on 90Hz, yes you heard it correct it has multi refresh rate. The display is by default set on 60Hz and it can be changed to 90Hz. The phone’s display is also capable to play HDR 10+, this is possible through the strong hardware and display properties. The colour reproduction and screen is very sharp the content on the screen is easily visible in bright sunlight.
Hardware & Performance
One of the most important aspects of any phone is the core of it, what is exactly it hold? Here the device holds a powerful chipset that is designed and powered by Qualcomm. In the core of Realme X2 Pro lies Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 plus chipset which is developed under 7nanometer process. Till date, it is the most efficient and power-saving chipset in terms of hardcore performance.
It is also coupled with Adreno 640 which is clocked at 700MHz, due to its new and compelling Adreno the graphics process is done smoothly. Thus all these high power performances are properly managed through the RAM, here Realme is providing various options for the user in terms of RAM. This time the company is going with 6, 8, & 12GB of RAM. However, in the AnTuTu test, the phone scored 471779 points which are pretty exciting.
Battery Life & UI
Nowaday’s battery is a crucial topic as the phones and technologies are evolving the battery consumptions are also draining through a good pace. Every mobile struggle with battery issues, the same scenario is with Realme X2 Pro. The phone is packed with a decent 4000mAh battery that is a non-removable Li-Po battery. If you are a sort of casual user then it may last you up to one complete day, thanks to the enhanced colour UI. In case you are a heavy user and likes to run heavy applications related to work or play games like PUBG, Asphalt, Fortnite, etc then the battery shall not last too long.
However, charging is not a great deal with this device, Realme has already shipped 50W fast charger with the box which can juice up your device in approx 35 minutes. The SuperVOOC fast charger is extremely capable to charge your device in no time. All of this is capable through the improved UI that is color OS, currently, it is on version 6.1 and soon it will be upgraded to 7 which will be based on Android 10. Basically User Interface is a choice which varies from person to person but, Color OS is pretty clean now instead of its older versions, yes it is holding some bloatware but not that much. Now applications reside on the RAM for a long time, thus it indicates that Realme has worked on UI and RAM management.
Camera & Design
Let’s talk about the design first, Realme’s design is much same from the front portion. The same dew-drop notch which holds a selfie camera, speaker and other sensors. Whereas the design of the phone is really an eye-catcher it contains a gradient finish that slightly changes the color in the light. This time Realme took a step further and installed glass on the backside, the glass is certified as Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The toughness of the glass is incredible. Another aspect is the weight distribution, in X2 Pro its is done quite perfectly though it is a bit heavy but the stability in hands is very good. The phone weighs 199 grams and can be used as single-handed also. The company also managed to put NFC support and a Dolby Atmos stereo speakers without making it heftier. Even the power and volume rocker button gives a tactile effect. The phone has USB-C with a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of design, Realme dispatched a premium warrior.
Nowaday’s camera is another important element after hardware, the company established a quad-camera setup providing the primary camera of 64MP with f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.7″, 0.8µm, PDAF and sensor which runs it is the Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1. The secondary camera is 13 MP, f/2.5, 52mm, 1/3.4″, 1.0µm, PDAF, 2x optical zoom, this is a telephoto lens whereas the other two cameras are an ultra-wide 8MP and another is 2MP for depth sensing. Images captured by our team comes out to be excellent in proper daylight, however, in ultra-wide mode there are some amount of grains in photos. The HDR does a great job in managing the shadows and correct colour temperature. The other three cameras work well in different conditions, as looking a whole package the quad-camera setup generates good images. Thus the phone is lacking (OIS) Optical Image Stabilization which is very necessary for night photography but let’s hope the company will push updates for the betterment of (EIS) Electronic Image Stabilization.
|Dolby Atmos Speaker||Bit Heavy|
|50W Super VOOC fast charging||No Card Support|
|AMOLED 90Hz display||Custom UI|
|Bright & Smooth Display|
